You can absolutely use bronzers in the winter time to either make your natural tan last longer or to simply add warmth and glow to your skin during the chilled months. Choose one with a cooler tone and stay away from products with shimmer. Apply the bronzer to the areas of the face where the sun naturally hits – your forehead, temples, cheeks, and jawline (lightly). Do not over apply and make sure that you blend out with a great brush. A large brush such as a Kabuki is a great choice. The NARS Bronzing Powder is excellent for a soft-tan without looking overdone. An equally great choice is the Bobbie Brown Bronzing Powder, a matte bronzer that comes in six different shades and goes on natural and smooth. If you are looking for an alternative to powder, try tinted moisturizers like Laura Mercier or Olay Definity Color Recapture.
